Adopting a pet is a journey of the heart. While many envision playful puppies or kittens full of boundless energy, opening your home to an older pet can be equally, if not more, rewarding. These seasoned souls, with their gentle spirits and wise, expressive eyes, offer companionship and comfort in ways that are deeply impactful and uniquely fulfilling.

Last October, a supporter donated a single white, faux-fur, fluffy cat bed. At first glance, it looked like just a soft place to nap. But over the past year, that one little bed has done far more than keep a few whiskered friends cozy. That bed cradled Manga during a severe allergic reaction. It gave Imari a sense of safety as she learned to trust people.

When we were tiny kittens, Ruff Patches found us our first family. We thought it was forever. But in 2021, when our mom lost her home during the pandemic, she had to make the heartbreaking decision to bring us back. She loved us so much, and Ruff Patches promised her we’d be safe. They’ve kept that promise every single day.
